2024 Kane County Chronicle girls volleyball All-Area team

First team

Haley Burgdorf, outside hitter, junior, St. Charles North: The 2024 Kane County Chronicle Girls Volleyball Player of the Year. The Penn State commit led the way for the North Stars with 611 kills, 268 digs, 48 aces and 44 blocks in her junior season to earn All-State honors while helping her team to the sectional finals.

Leah Freesemann, outside hitter, senior, Burlington Central: A top player for the Rockets in her senior season, Freesemann finished with 239 kills, 197 digs, 41 aces and 20 blocks.

St. Francis senior Addy Horner

Addy Horner, setter/outside hitter, senior, St. Francis: The 2023 Kane County Chronicle Girls Volleyball Player of the Year and Wisconsin commit continued to be an all-around player for the Spartans her senior season and earned All-State honors. Horner led the team with 406 kills, 346 assists and 69 aces. She added 150 digs and 45 blocks.

St. Charles North's Mia McCall

Mia McCall, setter, junior, St. Charles North: The All-State honorable mention finished the season with 816 assists, 171 digs, 62 kills, 52 aces and 25 blocks to help guide the North Stars to a sectional final. She eclipsed the 1,000-career assist mark this season.

Batavia's Teagan Rokos

Teagan Rokos, libero, senior, Batavia: An All-State honorable mention, Rokos was a stable presence for the Bulldogs in the back court, compiling 376 digs to lead the DuKane Conference for the second season in a row. She also had 48 aces.

Geneva's Fiona Turnbull

Fiona Turnbull, middle hitter, senior, Geneva: The Georgetown commit was a force in the middle for the Vikings, recording 262 kills to go with 49 blocks and 42 aces on the season.

Geneva's Samantha Vanda

Sam Vanda, right-side hitter, senior, Geneva: A unanimous all-DuKane Conference selection and leader for the Vikings, the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee commit finished the season with 356 kills, 208 digs, 38 aces and 36 blocks.
