First team

Aurora Central Catholic's Nathan Diedrich

Nathan Diedrich, Aurora Central Catholic, senior, defense: An all-sectional honoree, Diedrich had two goals and two assists while helping the team earn eight shutouts this season.

St. Charles North's Ashton Goettel

Ashton Goettel, St. Charles North, junior, defense: Goettel helped lead a backline that recorded seven shutouts this season. The all-sectional selection had a goal and two assists.

Geneva's Caleb Kelly

Caleb Kelly, Geneva, junior, forward: Kelly led the Vikings with 17 goals and had four assists to earn all-sectional honors.

St. Charles North's Casey Kriz

Casey Kriz, St. Charles North, senior, defense: A staple in the backfield for the North Stars for the past four years, Kriz finished the season with two goals and four assists and earned All-State honors.

Geneva's Reece Leonard

Reece Leonard, Geneva, senior, midfield: The 2024 Kane County Chronicle Boys Soccer Player of the Year, Leonard finished with nine goals and three assists en route to earning All-State honors.

St. Charles North's Oliver Longosz

Oliver Longosz, St. Charles North, sophomore, midfield: The all-sectional selection led the North Stars with a team-high eight goals and had three assists in his first varsity season.

Giovanni Magana, Marmion, senior, forward: Despite missing about half the season because of injury, Magana still led the team with eight goals and six assists.

Matthew Mitchinson

Matthew Mitchinson, Kaneland, senior, midfield: An all-sectional selection, Mitchinson led the Knights with 18 goals and 12 assists this season.

Geneva's Alexis Ramirez

Alexis Ramirez, Geneva, senior, defense: Ramirez was an all-sectional selection who led a backfield that recorded seven shutouts this season. He had two goals and an assist.

Burlington Central's Noah Rosborough

Noah Rosborough, Burlington Central, junior, midfield: A defender turned midfielder his junior year, the all-sectional selection had two goals and 100 steals to earn Team MVP honors.

Aurora Central Catholic's Matthew Vandeman

Matthew Vandeman, Aurora Central Catholic, junior, midfield: The all-sectional selection led the area with 31 goals and had eight assists for the Chargers.
