The Conservation Foundation brings back Fox River series to Kane and Kendall counties

The Conservation Foundation is once again bringing its Fox River presentation series back to Kane and Kendall counties starting Jan. 15, 2025, at Baker Community Center in St. Charles.

The Conservation Foundation will again collaborate with local partners in Kane and Kendall counties to offer its presentation series about the Fox River.

The series will kick off Jan. 15 at the Baker Community Center, located at 101 S. Second St. in St. Charles. It will run through April.

Presentations take place from 7 to 8 p.m. on the third Wednesday of the month at the Baker Community Center and on the fourth Wednesday of the month at Yorkville Public Library.

This series highlights the wildlife diversity, unique attributes and recreation opportunities provided by the river, according to a news release from the foundation.

“The Conservation Foundation is excited to bring back this series showcasing the Fox River’s beauty and benefits for wildlife and our communities,” said Jessica Mino, Kane and Kendall County program director of the foundation, in the release. “The Fox River Valley is a fascinating area, and we look forward to connecting people with this vital resource.”

Each program will feature a different topic and guest speaker.

The series is free to the public and engaging for all ages. Registration is strongly requested to ensure seating.
