Hinsdale Central won its third straight state swimming title in dominant fashion, while Marmion was second. Individually, St. Charles North's Thomas McMillan set a state record in the 100 fly and Oswego Co-op's Chase Maier swept the 200 and 500 free.
Brady Nightlinger, who qualified in two individual events and was on two winning relay teams, was instrumental in leading St. Charles North to the swimming sectional title on Saturday.

Oswego Co-op senior Chase Maier won the 500 freestyle in a pool record time, swam on the 400 relay that set another pool record and also won the 200 free, while Marmion won the team title and Oswego Co-op was third at the Neuqua Valley Sectional.
