Batavia had victories in eight victories over the final nine matches from either bonus-point victories or forfeits to get a 52-24 victory over Geneva.

St. Charles East wrestling enjoyed plenty of success in a dual against Wheaton North Thursday. The girls team earned six consecutive falls to win 48-6 in the Saints' first ever home meet, while the boys had nine bonus-point victories to secure a 63-10 win.

St. Charles East wrestler Ben Davino, who finished his high school career with a perfect 50-0 record, including his fourth high school state championship to cap off his senior season, is the Kane County Chronicle 2023-24 Male Athlete of the Year.
