Led by Player of the Year Dom Munaretto, here is the 2024-25 Kane County Chronicle All-Area Boys Wrestling team.

After going 52-1 and winning the Class 3A 120-pound bracket for his second state championship in three seasons, St. Charles East junior Dom Munaretto is the Kane County Chronicle Boys Wrestling Athlete of the Year.

After trailing 19-11 through six matches, Marmion went on to win six of the final eight matches to secure a 42-31 victory over Hononegah to secure the program's first Class 3A boys wrestling dual team title.

Marmion advanced to the Class 3A boys dual wrestling state semifinals after defeating Schaumburg 63-10 to keep the hopes of winning their first-ever team title alive.

Marmion senior Mateusz Nycz pinned Sandburg senior Omar Alhmoud in 39 seconds during Tuesday’s Class 3A Yorkville team dual sectional to spark the Cadets to a 38-36 victory.
