From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Graham's 318 will offer specialty drinks named for characters, host a trivia contest with the opportunity to win a mug with Luke's Diner on it.

GENEVA – Graham’s 318 Coffeehouse, at 318 S. Third St., Geneva, will transform itself into Luke’s Diner from the “Gilmore Girls” TV series from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Black Friday, Nov. 25.

A revival of the popular series, which ran from 2000 to 2007, will begin on Netflix the same day, coffeehouse manager Kristen Sommerfeld said, so will their coffeehouse recreate the “Autumn Festival” episode seven from the first season to celebrate.

“We will have specialty drinks named for characters,” Sommerfeld said.

As Luke’s Diner featured a “Cornucopia” canned food drive, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church will host a similar canned food booth in front of Graham’s 318 and collect food for the Salvation Army, Sommerfeld said.

“If you give to the canned food drive, we will give you 10 percent off your purchase that day,” Sommerfeld said.

The event also will include prizes and a “Gilmore Girls” trivia contest with an opportunity to win a free “Gilmore Girls” mug with Luke’s Diner on it for customers who answer all questions correctly, she said.

Participants will not be able to use their phones to look for answers, Sommerfeld said, so loyal fans will have to rely on their knowledge of the series in order to win.

Also as part of the event, Grahams 318 will also have a photo booth, she said.

Netflix turned more than 200 coffeehouses nationwide into Luke’s Diners, ahead of its premiere of “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life,” Sommerfeld said.

While Graham’s 318 Coffeehouse was not one of the 200, Netflix is sending prizes for the Geneva event, Sommerfeld said.
