Recover Centers of America’s outpatient center in South Elgin is celebrating Random Acts of Kindness Day on Thursday, February 17 to encourage acts of altruism in the world.

Recovery Centers of America’s outpatient center in South Elgin is celebrating Random Acts of Kindness Day on Thursday, Feb. 17 to encourage acts of altruism in the world, according to a news release.

Community members can pick up complimentary pins displaying the phrase “Practice Random Acts of Kindness” at a number of South Elgin locations: Kicks Fitness at 317 Randall Road, The Village Squire at 480 Randall Road, Dogtopia at 580 Randall Road, Riverside Pizza & Pub at 456 Redington Dr. and Village Tavern & Grill at 464 Redington Dr.

“Kindness makes all of the difference, benefitting both one’s physical and mental health,” said RCA at St. Charles and South Elgin CEO Karen Wolownik Albert. “Acts of Kindness offer positive power to support ongoing sobriety and the will to rebuild life in recovery.”
