Kane County Sheriff’s office to participate in the Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics

The Kane County Sheriff’s Office is gearing up for the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics of Illinois at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 6, at the Maple Park Fire Department.

According to a news release from the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, refreshments from Soul Loco will be available and there will be Polar Plunge and Special Olympics apparel and a 50/50 raffle with all proceeds going toward Special Olympics.

Sheriff Ron Hain said in an email that while there is no body of water at the Maple Park Fire Department, there will be “big water pools that fire departments use or just spray us with a fire hose as we run through it.”
