Elburn Parks to host first two movies of the year inside Elburn Community Center

Elburn Parks’ Movie Night in the Park series will return for the summer, but the first two movie nights will be hosted inside the Elburn & Countryside Community Center.

“Normally we do it in the park, but since its kinda cold and not quite there, we had to do movies inside for March and April,” said Robert Reilley, board member of the Elburn Parks Commission.

Reilley says they worked out an agreement with the Center, located at 525 N. Main St. to host the events on Mar. 11, and Apr. 23 at 7 p.m.

Friday’s event will feature “Back to the Future,” and the movie for the April 23 event has yet to be announced. Movie nights are free and open to the public.

Weather permitting, Reilley hopes to begin showing the movies outside at Prairie Park in May.

“We do it throughout the summer. Our last movie is usually in October,” Reilley said.
