Batavia Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Margaret Perreault sat among several goody bags and gift baskets scattered around the Chamber’s conference room. The Chamber was prepping for the annual Batavia Women in Business Holiday Luncheon on Dec. 10 where they spotlight the Batavia United Way Adopt A Family program and the Batavia ACCESS toy drive.
It’s just one of the projects she and her team are working on at any given time.
Going into the holiday season, Perreault stressed that Batavia is home to an abundance of vibrant businesses.
“We need shoppers to be out shopping our businesses,” she said.
Perreault has volunteered for the Bulldogs Booster dinner and is president of the Rotary Club of Batavia.
“Batavia cares for Batavia and you get that feeling right away when you become active in the community,” Perreault said.
Perreault and her husband happened upon Batavia when they were ready to start their family 25 years ago.
“We were so lucky we found Batavia,” she said.
