In Focus: Jane Harland comes out to support her second family at St. Charles East

The St. Charles East community came together last week to celebrate the schools' 50th anniversary of women’s sports and just as she does for almost all home games, dean’s assistant Jane Harland was there to support the Saints – past and present.

Jane and her late husband, Mike, worked together at the school and took tickets, kept score or worked the parking lot for just about every sporting event at St. Charles East.

You also could find Jane and Mike working at Kane County Cougars games during the summers.

Jane’s smile continues to light up the Saints’ gymnasium.

“St. Charles East is my second family,” she said. “I like the kids to see me [cheering them on.]”
