Two children died in a fire Sunday in Carpentersville.

A Batavia man is facing felony charges after allegedly attempting to break into a home while armed with a box cutter early Tuesday morning, March 24, according to police.

The Kane County Coroner's Office announced it had positively identified the remains of Karen Schepers.
