ST. CHARLES – The St. Charles Public Library is once again open to the public.
According to a news release, patrons are able to browse through the collection, check out materials and pick up items on hold inside of the library. Appointments are recommended to visit Youth Services due to limited space. Appointments are necessary for Vestibule Holds Pickup, to use a computer and for notary services.
All visitors must wear masks, use hand sanitizer upon arrival, receive a contactless temperature check, practice safe social distancing and follow directional signage in the library, the release stated.
Frequently-touched surfaces will be sanitized. Carts will be available for items that are touched, but not checked out. Plastic barriers are at all service desks. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult.
The library will continue to post updates and announcements on scpld.org and on social media channels. For more information, call 630-584-0076.
The St. Charles Public Library is located temporarily at 305 South Ninth Street in St. Charles.
