ELBURN – Elburn Days returns this summer, and the Elburn Lions Club is getting ready for the popular end-of-summer celebration. The event will be Aug. 20-22 at Elburn Lions Park, 500 Filmore St.
According to a news release, the family-friendly event will feature carnival rides, beer garden, live music, food, craft show, 4H auction and petting zoo, tractor pull and mud volleyball. Parking is free, but donations appreciated.
The parade begins at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, and participant applications are due by 5 p.m. Aug. 11. There are a reduced number of units permitted from previous years with just 75 this year, and some restrictions on repetitive units, according to the Elburn Lions website.
Elburn Days is the largest annual fundraiser for the Elburn Lions Park and Elburn Lions Charities. The Elburn Lions Club hosts Elburn Days annually on the third full weekend in August, the release stated.
