St. Charles Police Department makes two DUI arrests during traffic enforcement campaign

The St. Charles Police Department conducted additional traffic enforcement Dec. 18-Jan. 4, reminding motorists to buckle up and not drive impaired, day or night, as part of the nationwide Click It or Ticket/Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement effort.

The St. Charles Police Department arrested two people with driving under the influence of alcohol as part of a traffic enforcement campaign in the week leading up to Thanksgiving.

One of the drivers was arrested for felony aggravated DUI, according to a news release from the St. Charles Police Department. St. Charles Police conducted additional traffic enforcement as part the nationwide Click It or Ticket/Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement effort. The St. Charles Police joined other state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois with their effort.

Police also issued three speeding tickets, four tickets for distracted driving and two tickets for seat belt violations as well as three other tickets for various offenses.
