Theft

Anthony R. Onofrio, 67, of the 2200 block of Cottonwood Court, Elgin, was charged at 6:40 a.m. May 17 with retail theft and criminal trespassing.

Violating order of protection

Melvin Jamar Bunn, 32, of the 800 block of Pleasant Trail, St. Charles, was charged at 1:43 a.m. May 15 with violating an order of protection.

DUI

Christopher M. Pengiel, 28, of the 6N300 block of West Ridgewood Lane, St. Charles, was charged at 12:38 a.m. May 17 with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions.
