A Plainfield man faces charges in connection with a June law enforcement operation that involved several agencies, including the Yorkville Police Department.
On Dec. 13, Albert G. Pintoy Jr., 53, was charged by Yorkville Police with traveling to meet a minor, according to a a news release from the police department.
In an interview, Yorkville Deputy Chief Garrett Carlyle said that Pintoy had been a suspect from the very beginning.
“He was one of the original people that showed up that day. We were not able to secure charges until we received some digital evidence back that required the subpoena process,” Carlyle said.
After being taken into custody, Pintoy was transported to the Kendall County Jail.
The operation was part of a collaborative inter-agency effort to combat human trafficking in the state.
The two-day human trafficking enforcement operation in June was a collaboration between the Illinois State Police, SWAT, the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, the Yorkville Police Department and other agencies, according to the news release.
The three other individuals were charged with felonies in June, according to the news release.
Nathanael Beckley of Bolingbrook was charged with traveling to meet a child.
Salvo Campagne of Plano was charged with for indecent solicitation of a child, traveling to meet a child, and solicitation to meet a child.
Marcus Ramirez of Sandwich, was also charged with indecent solicitation of a child, traveling to meet a child, and solicitation to meet a child.
