Two taken to hospital with minor injuries following bus crash near Yorkville

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Dec. 18 in the Yorkville area after a vehicle rear-ended a Plano school bus.

The collision happened about 2 p.m. near the intersection of Eldamain Road and Fox Court, in Fox Township.

Deputy Dan Briars said a driver and two students were on-board the school bus at the time of the collision.

“The driver of the school bus and one student were transported with minor injuries to a local hospital,” Briars said. “The driver of the vehicle was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.”

Briars said the bus driver and the 15-year-old student were taken to the hospital out of an abundance of caution.
