Kendall County Sheriff’s Office hires five new deputies

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office has announced the hiring of five new deputies to fill vacancies in its patrol division.

Mykayla Pacewic, Andrew Griffin, Kevin Frazier, Raul Hernandez and Danielle Quirk were officially sworn in on Dec. 30 by Kendall County Sheriff Dwight Baird.

Deputies Griffin, Frazier, Hernandez, and Quirk will begin their training at the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy on Jan. 6, according to a news release from the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. Following the academy, they will enter the field training phase and work alongside experienced field training officers.

Deputy Pacewik will complete an in-house training phase before entering the field training phase, according to the release.

  • Pacewic is a licensed cosmetologist and previously worked at the Joliet Police Department.
  • Griffin holds a degree from Southern Illinois University and has prior experience as a senior leader in healthcare technology.
  • Frazier served in the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division and most recently worked as a truck driver.
  • Hernandez is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran with a degree from DePaul University; he previously worked as an accountant for Aldi.
  • Quirk earned her degree from Joliet Junior College and has experience as a dispatcher for both KenCom and the Joliet Police Department.
