To increase financial transparency, the Yorkville School District 115 is upgrading their monthly treasurer’s report with dynamic online dashboards accessible to the public.
The new, easier-to-use dashboard will launch on Feb. 24, according to district documents.
As part of the upgrade, the district is providing key performance indicators, along with charts and graphs highlighting the district’s financial health.
“By posting the dashboards on the district website, we make this important information available to parents, taxpayers, and community members. Visualizations make identifying trends easier, spotting potential issues, and seeing how funds are being allocated,” according to district documents. “This fosters greater transparency and trust between the district and its stakeholders.”
Among the new features, users will be able to track the district’s income and spending over time. Community members can also track district salaries and benefits.
The dashboard also enables public users to compare planned district spending to actual spending.
The new features were developed with no additional cost to the district.
