Yorkville 67, Naperville Central 53

The Foxes made a season-high 14 3-pointers for a win at the Batavia MLK Shootout.

Brooke Spychalski had 18 points, nine rebounds and four assists and Madi Spychalski added 13 points for Yorkville (14-6). Macie Jones chipped in 10 points, six rebounds and three assists and Lainey Gussman had 10 points, seven rebounds and nine assists.

Boys Basketball

York 57, Yorkville 36

The Foxes led 11-8 after a quarter, but turnovers and missed shots cost them at the Geneva MLK Day of Hoops.

Christian Harrell scored 10 points and Gabe Sanders added eight for Yorkville (8-11).

Girls Bowling

Oswego

Oswego sent its freshmen and sophomore bowlers to Town and Country Lanes on Monda.

The Panthers finished in fourth place out of 13 teams and were led by sophomore Raegan Vinopal who had a personal best 1,044 series (174 average) which included a big morning 3-game series of 572. Vinopal’s efforts earned her an eighth place medal along with freshman Delaney Jourdan who finished in 23rd place with a 918 series.
