Kindergarten registration now open for 2025-26 school year in Oswego 308

Yards signs that read “cheers to 20 years” and HOCO 2024” among others saying sit outside the entrance of Oswego East High School on Friday Oct. 4, 2024, as they celebrate 20 years since the school has opened during homecoming week.

Registration is now open for kindergarten students and first-time enrollees in Oswego Community Unit School District 308.

To register for kindergarten for the 2025-26 school year, children must be 5 years old by Sept. 1.

To introduce children to the district, a Kinder-Quest Expo will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at the Oswego East High School Atrium.

Attendees can meet principals and district departments, get help with registration, turn in medical forms, explore a bus and enjoy a photo booth, giveaways, games and more.

Students currently enrolled in preschool at Brokaw Early Learning Center, Lakewood Creek Elementary, Long Beach Elementary or Wolf’s Crossing Elementary are considered returning students and do not need to register for kindergarten at this time.

Returning students can complete their 2025-26 school year registration in March. Additional details will be sent to families via the parent portal in February.
