The Indian Valley Theatre will once again offer its Mimi Bryan Memorial Scholarship, aimed at supporting a college-bound senior from Sandwich or surrounding communities.

The scholarship, which honors the memory of one of the theatre’s founders, will be awarded in May.

Bryan was active on stage, as well as, behind the scenes. Most importantly, she was instrumental in giving many budding actors a shot on stage and bringing Community Theater to life for hundreds of people in the Fox Valley area to enjoy.

While preference will be given to students who have participated in fine arts or productions through the theatre, the scholarship is open to all seniors, regardless of major or involvement in theater.

The deadline for submission is April 1, which is earlier than in previous years, so applicants are encouraged to plan accordingly.

A Scholarship Review Committee, made up of the theatre’s board members, will review all complete applications.

Students may also contact their local high school guidance counselors or reach out directly to Sharon Pagoria at press@indianvalleytheatre.com to obtain an application.

Those who wish to contribute to the IVT Mimi Bryan Memorial Scholarship Fund can make a tax-deductible donation by contacting Pagoria at the above email or donating online via the theatre’s website.
