Oswego School District 308 officials are saying that no complaints had been made about an employee prior to the Montgomery Police Department charging him last month with being in possession of child sexual abuse images.
Tylor Kinley, 25, of Montgomery, has been employed with the district in the transportation department since 2021. He was placed on administrative leave following the charges.
“Prior to notification from law enforcement, no concerns, allegations or complaints had been made regarding this staff member,” Superintendent Andalib Khelghati said in a news release posted to the district’s website. “There is no evidence or reason to believe anything inappropriate occurred during work time.”
Kinley is not permitted on school district property, including buses, and is not permitted to be in contact with any students, staff or other personnel. He is charged with four felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse images.
On Jan. 28, the Montgomery Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence in the 2500 block of Simon Drive in conjunction with an investigation that began in 2023, according to a release from the Montgomery Police Department.
Khelghati said a third-party legal counsel will lead a full investigation of Kinley.
“Additionally, we will continue partnering with law enforcement in any way necessary as they continue with their investigation,” he said.
Those with any questions or concerns can contact Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Bryan Zwemke at bzwemke@sd308.org or District Safety Coordinator Michael Frieders at mfrieders01@sd308.org.
The Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office approved the charges against Kinley. His next court date is set for 9 a.m. March 7.
