Owner of Oswego massage parlor surrenders license following alleged prostitution incident last week

X Massage no longer authorized to operate or conduct any business activities

The owner of an Oswego massage parlor has surrendered her bodywork establishment license following an alleged prostitution incident at the business.

On Wednesday, Massage X owner Haibin Li, 35, of Plainfield, surrendered the license following an incident and subsequent charges at the establishment last week, according to a news release from the Oswego Police Department.

X Massage is located at 2733 Route 34 in Oswego. Following the incident, the Village of Oswego had initiated proceedings to revoke its bodywork license, with a hearing scheduled for Thursday.

However, following the voluntary surrender of the bodywork license, the scheduled hearing has been cancelled. X Massage is no longer authorized to operate or conduct any business activities, the release said.

In addition, no bodywork business can operate in that location for three years.

At 4:10 p.m. Jan. 29, Hongbing Liu, 60, of Chicago, was picked up at X Massage after the Kendall County Cooperative Police Assistance Team conducted an investigation into alleged prostitution, according to Oswego Police.

Liu, an employee at X Massage, was charged with prostitution. She was released and given a notice to appear in court on Feb. 19.

At 2:32 p.m. Jan. 30, Oswego Police arrested Li on a charge of violating the massage therapy practice act, police said.

Li was released and given a notice to appear in court on Feb. 20.
