Several counties are under a severe thunderstorm warning until 11:15 p.m. Monday.

Areas affected include portions of Cook and DuPage counties as well as Kane, Kendall and Will counties.

Winds gusts could reach 60 mph with possibility of half-dollar size hail, the National Weather Service said.

Hail damage to vehicles is expected and winds could cause damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
