The popular Oswego Drag Raceway was located on Route 34, a couple of miles west of the Route 34 bridge. It operated from 1955 to 1979.

The Kendall County Coroner’s Office released a statement on the June death of Yorkville resident Aiyana Williams, 16, saying “a definitive cause or manner of death cannot be established at this time.”
