Yorkville police arrested a juvenile on charges of unauthorized possession of a weapon and unlawful use of a weapon after they determined the suspect was in possession of a stun gun on Yorkville School District 115 property on Game Farm Road earlier this month.
In a press statement issued Oct. 15, police said they began their investigation that led to the juvenile’s arrest Oct. 8 when they were notified by District 115 administrators.
Through their investigation, police said they determined the juvenile had possessed the stun gun on school district property but had not used it to cause any harm or threaten any other individuals.
Police said they referred the juvenile to the Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office and the juvenile was released to a parent.
