Oswego School District 308 accepting applicants for Board of Education vacancy

Applicants can apply online now; deadline is Jan. 19

Residents of incorporated Oswego Township may now apply for a vacant seat on the Oswego School District 308 Board of Education.

The vacancy was created when board member Ruth Kroner stepped down last month. Kroner announced in October that she would be leaving the board come December, as she and her family were moving out of state.

The School District announced the job search in a press release last week, listing the desired qualifications for the position. Among the qualifications are that applicants be United States citizens, residents of incorporated Oswego Township and registered voters. Applicants must also have no conflicting public office seats or interests in district contracts.

Those interested are asked to apply here by 5 p.m. Jan 19, as the Board of Education is looking to fill the vacancy within 60 calendar days.
