The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office has hired a new deputy to fill a vacancy in the patrol division.
Sheriff Dwight Baird swore-in Amber Flynn Dec. 23.
Flynn will be attending the Basic Police Training Academy beginning Jan. 3 for 14 weeks. Upon completion of the academy, she will be paired with experienced field training officers for a rigorous 14-week field training program.
Flynn studies justice studies at the College of DuPage. She worked as a part-time police officer at the Rosemont Police Department, a police assistant with the Bensenville Police Department, and a dispatcher for Norcomm Public Safety Communications before being hired by the sheriff’s office.
