Oswego School District 308 Board OKs 2021-2022 school year calendar

The schedule for the next school year has been set for Oswego School District 308 students following the Board of Education’s 6-0 vote during a meeting Feb. 8 to approve the 2021-2022 school year calendar.

Board member Heather Moyer was absent from the meeting and did not vote.

According to the calendar, the school year will begin Wednesday, Aug. 18 for students in kindergarten through 12th grade, following orientation for new teachers from Aug. 9-12, a teacher institute day Aug. 16, and a teacher work day Aug. 17.

Early Childhood students will have their first day Monday, Aug. 23.

Winter break for the next school year will begin Dec. 23 and end Jan. 7, 2022, and Spring Break will last from March 28, 2022 to April 1, 2022.

Graduation for seniors will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Northern Illinois University’s Convocation Center and the school year will end May 27, 2022.

The board will next meet at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 22, in the Community Room of Oswego East High School.
