Millbrook man arrested on felony child pornography charges

Kendall County Sheriff’s Office launched investigation after receiving cybertip

The Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office has charged Jeremiah E. Mize, 38, of the 8100 block of Whitfield Road, Millbrook, with seven counts of child pornography, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.

In a statement issued Nov. 5, the sheriff’s office said three of the charges against Mize are Class X felonies for dissemination of child pornography and the other four are Class 2 felonies for possession of child pornography.

The sheriff’s office said it began an investigation that led to Mize’s arrest when they received information based on a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that an online user was disseminating child pornography. During the investigation, numerous subpoenas were obtained to determine the identity of the user, the sheriff’s office said.

Sheriff’s office detective executed a search warrant in connection with their investigation Nov. 4. Mize was taken into custody without incident and is being held at the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville where his bail was set at $250,000.

Mize is scheduled to appear in court on the charges Nov. 29, according to sheriff’s office data.
