Yorkville’s Town Square Park is decked out once again like a holiday greeting card.
The city has installed decorative lights over the sidewalk leading from Bridge Street (Route 47) to the gazebo at the center of the park.
The gazebo has also been decked out with bright lights. All the illumination serves as an inviting, post-sundown invitation into the park to anyone seeking to enjoy a winter stroll.
The lights would probably look even better if there was snow on the park grounds, but Mother Nature has yet to drop any of the white stuff on the city and most of northern Illinois this winter.
