The initiative was carried out by the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office in collaboration with state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois.

Jacob Truhlar, 19, was issued a citation following an investigation of the crash by the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.

At the time of the crash, the ambulance was transporting a patient.

The initiative has been active for the past four weeks during identified times of higher criminal activity.

David Farber, 86, died in the fire, according to the Kendall County Coroner’s Office.
