To the Editor:
There has been a growing amount of transgender discrimination since 2016. At one time, the military was told to weed transgenders out of the services. I know if I was under fire by an enemy I would welcome the support of a transgender, gay or lesbian. Never in my religion classes through high school do I recall any prejudice toward them.
The politicians doing the complaining now feel that extramarital relations are acceptable, taking bribes, lying about another is OK, too. To me, it is between the person and his/her maker. It is not between state legislatures, politicians and governors to decide.
Didn’t Jesus, when asked about the greatest commandment, answer, “To love your neighbor as yourself.” He didn’t put any conditions on the love.
