How to Get the Most Out of Your Chamber Membership

Your local Chamber of Commerce can be a great marketing resource for your company via avenues like its newsletter, website, social media, and more. You get out of the Chamber what you put in. Get familiar, get involved, and getengaged!

Try these tips in 2025 (these are good for new members and existing members):

• Follow the Oswego Chamber on Facebook and Instagram, and join the Oswego Area Chamber Members Only page
  
• Add your membership decal to your business window/work vehicle
  
• Make sure your info is correct on our website
  
• Schedule a ribbon cutting if you haven’t already, or if you are celebrating a milestone anniversary
  
• Make sure we have business cards/marketing material in the Chamber office
  
• Share events, news releases, job openings or Member2Member deals with us so we can get the word out to other members
  
• Look for potential business connections and power partners in our directory
  

As a member, what else should you do?

• Go to networking events – come when you can, stay as long as you can
  
• Visit a leads group
  
• Attend a seminar
  
• Review sponsorship opportunities
  
• Attend other business’s ribbon cuttings
