Antioch Police Chief Guttschow reminds residents of the importance of proactive measures to safeguard their property, especially during the holiday season.

“Antioch is a safe community, but we must remain vigilant, as no community is immune to criminal activity such as these incidents,” Guttschow said in the release. “We continue to urge residents to take precautions such as locking doors, securing valuables, and reporting suspicious activity. These simple steps can greatly reduce the risk of becoming a crime victim. While our officers are actively patrolling and working to deter crime, we rely on the partnership of our community to help keep Antioch safe.”

Collaboration between the Antioch and Waukegan Police Department’s played a crucial role in bringing this case to a successful resolution, according to the release.
