Smart young dog eager to learn in forever home

GRAYSLAKE – Gilligan says, “No island in the sun, but I had fun in my first snow. I’m an active, playful and smart dog. I learn very fast with people that work with me. I already know sit, down and I’m working on perfecting the stay. I’ll even sit when other dogs are barking at me. I love learning!

“Of course, I’m also a loving dog, and I even got to go to a community event, greeting people, checking things out. It was so much fun!”

Gilligan, a shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix (best guess) is about 5 months old. He is neutered, up to date on shots (including rabies vaccination), tested negative for heartworm and on preventive and microchipped.

While walk-ins are welcome, adoptions are by appointments only to ensure staff members are available to help adopters.
