WAUKEGAN – The Salvation Army Waukegan Corps Community Center has opened registration for a new, low-cost, faith-based day camp option for area children.
The Salvation Army JUMP camp will offer children the chance to engage in a well-rounded curriculum with their peers, while offering parents a respite and low-cost child care option. The JUMP camp will include:
· Jesus-centered curriculum
· Understanding the world through STEM activities
· Music integration
· Physical activity
The Salvation Army JUMP camp is open to students in grades one through six residing in Waukegan, North Chicago, Gurnee, Park City and Beach Park. Thirty slots are available for each session; cohorts within the camp each will be limited to 10 children. Public health guidelines will be followed.
Two four-week sessions will be offered at The Salvation Army Waukegan Corps, 850 S. Green Bay Road. The first session is scheduled for June 7 to July 1. The second session will run from July 6-29. Camp hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
