Gurnee Days parade theme voting open

Residents to have opportunity to choose from 5 finalists until April 14

GURNEE – In collaboration with the village of Gurnee, the Gurnee Park District is looking to the community to select this year’s parade theme.

Voting to decide the 2022 Gurnee Days parade theme is open until April 14. Vote for your favorite at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GurneeDaysTheme

Gurnee Days will be a two-day festival on Aug. 6 and 7.

Aug. 6 starts with the Gurnee Days 10K/5K at Hunt Club Park. At Viking Park, the festival will feature live music, food vendors, children’s entertainment, the Exchange Club’s Rib Fest and the fireworks show.

At noon Aug. 7, the Gurnee community will come together for the Gurnee Days parade. The parade route will begin at North Greenleaf Street, continue west on Old Grand Avenue and end at Emerald Avenue. After the parade, the fun continues at Viking Park with the Patch 22 petting zoo, pony rides, food, music and the Gurnee Days car show.
