Gaelic Storm back at the Egyptian on March 4

Gaelic Storm

DeKALB – After a two-year hiatus, Gaelic Storm is returning to the Egyptian Theatre to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day a little early.

The Celtic band will bring its “We Missed You” tour to the Egyptian stage at 8 p.m. Friday, March 4. Gaelic Storm was the final performance at the theater before the COVID-19 shutdown in March 2020.

The five-member multi-national band, founded in California in 1996, has performed thousands of shows in the United States and internationally. The band attributes its continued success to its diverse audiences. The country-music folks adore the storytelling, the bluegrass heads love the instrumentals, Celtic fans love their devotion to tradition, and the rockers simply relish the passion with which Gaelic Storm plays its instruments, according to the band website.

Ticket prices for the DeKalb show start at $35, with a $5 discount for students and seniors. Tickets are available online at egyptiantheatre.org, by phone at 815-758-1225 or at the Egyptian Theatre box office from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday.

The Egyptian Theatre, 135 N. Second St. in downtown DeKalb, is owned and operated by Preservation of Egyptian Theatre Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
