Grundy County Coroner identifies body found Friday as missing woman

Grundy County Coroner John Callahan has identified the body found Friday evening in the 900 block of Twilight Drive as Alison L. Findley, 62, Morris, who had been reported missing earlier that day.

Callahan said the autopsy was completed Sunday afternoon and results are inconclusive. His office will conduct further forensic studies along with toxicology in the coming weeks.

Callahan and the Morris Police Department announced Saturday that they were investigating after a resident walking their dog discovered a deceased woman on Friday.

The coroner’s office said no further information will be released at this time. The police said more information will be released as it is verified.
