Coal City United Methodist to host soup supper Jan. 4

Coal City United Methodist Church will host a soup supper from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at 6805 E. McArdle Road.

The church is serving vegetable beef and chicken and rice soups. Each meal includes a choice of soup, sandwich, crackers, a beverage, ice cream and dessert. Carry-outs are also available.

The meal costs $15 for ages 13 and older, and $5 for children 3-12. Children younger than 2 eat free. All proceeds go to the church’s building fund. Tickets will be sold at the door.
