The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office has returned a three-month-old infant to his father, it said Thursday afternoon.
It issued a statement Thursday that Emily Johnson, 34, of W. Southmor Road and her three-month-old son were missing.
Sheriff’s deputies attempted to serve an order of protection and a separate court order issued in Kendall County to Johnson, but the infant’s grandmother told deputies that the two no longer lived there.
The infant’s father contacted the deputies and said he was receiving concerning text messages, according to the Thursday news release. The statement also said Johnson was aware of the order of protection.
The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office did a phone location search on Johnson’s phone, and it showed her in Aurora. The Aurora Police Department has been notified and has contacted a relative in the city, but that relative didn’t cooperate, according to the news release.
The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the incident further.
