Illinois’ wrestling fans will once again descend to the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign campus this weekend to watch the state’s best boys wrestlers compete in the IHSA individual state tournament. Here’s everything fans need to know about the championships.

A large contingent of area wrestlers earned places at the IHSA State Wrestling Meet with strong performances at the Quincy Class 3A Sectional. Joliet Catholic led the way with 11 qualifiers while Yorkville's six qualifiers featured three sectional champions.

At 106 pounds, Dixon's Jack Ragan, Streator's Nicholas Pollett and Morris' Owen Sater all earned state trips on Saturday at the 2A Sycamore Sectional.
