Canadian National hosting open house at Minooka High School Jan. 14

Canadian National is hosting an open house from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14 at Minooka High School South Campus, 26655 W. Eames St., Channahon, regarding the proposed Chicago Logistics Hub Intermodal facility.

The meeting will be held as an open forum, with no formal presentations or action taken. Those interested can come and go at any time during the meeting, examine exhibits and speak with Canadian National representatives.

The Village of Minooka released a statement in October expressing concern over the heavy truck traffic that the logistics hub would bring. The hub will be located off of Route 6 in Channahon, but Minooka is concerned that Canadian National will direct heavy truck traffic through Minooka using Interstate 80 and Ridge Road as an access point.
