We Care of Grundy County’s Red Kettle campaign for 2024 exceeded its goal of $30,000, raising $31,595.75.

We Care said in a Facebook post on Tuesday that it still has some tabletop kettles around the county to collect, so the number should rise.

“We are so thrilled and thankful to all who gave during this season,” reads the post. “Thank you to all of our volunteer bell ringers who braved cold weather to help us raise funds and spread Christmas cheer.”

We Care of Grundy County is a nonprofit charity that provides assistance to those in need around Grundy County, including access to food and clothing, emergency rent, mortgage and utility assistance, back-to-school assistance, holiday assistance and educational programs and support groups.
