Morris Hospital cardiologist Dr. Mary Menz will speak from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, at the Morris Hospital YMCA, 2200 W. Dupont Ave., in Morris, as part of a free community program. A YMCA membership is not required to attend.

During the program, Menz will teach about the risks of heart disease, preventative measures for leading a healthy lifestyle, and the differences between men’s and women’s heart disease symptoms. Participants will learn ways to stick to a regular fitness routine and overcome obstacles.

Menz is part of Morris Hospital Cardiovascular Specialists, a cardiology practice that includes six cardiologists and a cardiology nurse practitioner with offices in Channahon, Dwight, Morris and Ottawa.
