Minooka Community High School honored for yearbook design

MCHS 1 of just 431 schools in North America to be chosen

MINOOKA – Congratulations go out to Minooka Community High School for being featured in the Herff Jones “best-of” publication, Portfolio, which showcases best-in-class yearbook work from students across North America.

The 26th edition of Portfolio features exemplary, creative and innovative work by staffs from coast to coast and beyond. Of the thousands of yearbooks printed by Herff Jones, just 431 schools were chosen for inclusion. Judged by industry experts on various design and storytelling elements – from themes and covers to features and photography – the staffs highlighted truly epitomize the originality and grit that came from yearbook classrooms in 2020.

Yearbook advisers and student journalists were able to adapt to the curveballs in admirable ways, and Herff Jones believes this work deserves a spotlight. In addition to traditional yearbook content, Herff Jones’ Portfolio showcases the coverage that details the effect that COVID-19 had on their peers, schools and communities.

Herff Jones, a division of Varsity Brands and the leading provider of graduation and educational products and services designed to inspire achievement and create memorable experiences for students, is pleased to congratulate Minooka Community High School for outstanding student-produced work in 2020 yearbooks.

A printed copy of Portfolio and congratulatory certificate was presented to each of the featured schools, and Minooka Community High School is also included in an online showcase available at https://yearbookdiscoveries.com/showcase.
