Nazareth Dance Team qualifies for state competition

Nazareth Academy’s Competitive Dance Team has qualified for the state finals for the fourth consecutive year following a second-place finish at the IHSA Class 1A Maine East Sectional on Jan. 25.

The IHSA Class 1A State Finals will be held Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 at Grossinger Arena in Bloomington. Nazareth’s first performance will be at 2:01 p.m. on Jan. 31. The top 12 teams from Friday’s competition will advance to a second performance and a shot at the state title on Saturday.
